Prior to the Series, I picked Montreal in 5…
Montreal is in great shape after 3 games. The Rangers need to take Game 4. New York does not want to see Montreal take this series home with the opportunity to deliver the knockout blow at home.
Timotheus Picks – 3 points of possible 6 (50%)
2 points for regulation win for predicted series victor; 1 for overtime win…
Boston Bruins -vs- Ottawa Senators

Game 7 Wednesday 26 April at Ottawa [If Necessary]
Prior to Series, I picked Ottawa in 7…
Boston managed to find a road win. Game 2 is now a big game for both teams. I still think a long series is likely. It would seem then that somehow Ottawa manages a way to say, “Not in our house!”
Timotheus Picks – 1 points of possible 4 (25%)
2 points for regulation win for predicted series victor; 1 for overtime win…
East – Metropolitan Bracket

Prior to Series, I picked Washington in 4…
The Air Canada Centre should be rocking for Game 3. Each of the first 2 games have gone to overtime. Toronto has managed to keep up with the fast, high-powered Capitals. A tied series ventures northward to Toronto. This is awesome!
Timotheus Picks – 1 points of possible 4 (25%)
2 points for regulation win for predicted series victor; 1 for overtime win…
Columbus Blue Jackets -vs- Pittsburgh Penguins

Game 7 Tuesday 25 April at Pittsburgh [If Necessary]
Prior to Series, I picked Pittsburgh in 6…
Columbus is in a world of trouble. They just don’t seem to be able to keep up with the Penguins. Likely, this series ends tomorrow. If not, it’s hard to imagine this series not ending in the following game in Pittsburgh.
Timotheus Picks – 6 points of possible 6 (100%)
2 points for regulation win for predicted series victor; 1 for overtime win…
West – Central Bracket
Chicago Blackhawks -vs- Nashville Predators
Game 1 Thursday 13 April at Chicago Predators 1, Blackhawks 0
Game 2 Saturday 15 April at Chicago Predators 5, Blackhawks 0
Predators lead Series 2-0
Game 3 Monday 17 April at Nashville
Game 4 Thursday 20 April at Nashville
Game 5 Saturday 22 April at Chicago [If Necessary]
Game 6 Monday 24 April at Nashville [If Necessary]
Game 7 Wednesday 26 April at Chicago [If Necessary]
Prior to the Series, I picked Chicago in 7…
What is happening to Chicago? Nashville takes this series home with a 2-0 lead in the series. The Hawks need to show up for Game 3. In the first game, the victory was marginal. In the second game, Chicago was soundly defeated and embarrassed. This ends very badly for Chicago if they don’t make some noise quick. Who would have ever thought that the Hawks would be kept scoreless through 6 periods of playoff hockey?
Timotheus Picks – 0 points of possible 4 (0%)
2 points for regulation win for predicted series victor; 1 for overtime win…
Minnesota Wild -vs- St. Louis Blues
Game 1 Wednesday 12 April at Minnesota Blues 2, Wild 1 [OT]
Game 2 Friday 14 April at Minnesota Blues 2, Wild 1
Game 3 Sunday 16 April at St. Louis Blues 3, Wild 1
Blues lead Series 3-0
Game 4 Wednesday 19 April at St. Louis
Game 5 Saturday 22 April at Minnesota [If Necessary]
Game 6 Monday 24 April at St. Louis [If Necessary]
Game 7 Wednesday 26 April at Minnesota [If Necessary]
Prior to the Series, I picked Minnesota in 6…
The Wild nightmare continues, though perhaps not for long. Jake Allen is playing extraordinary hockey; like he is trying to win the Stanley Cup MVP award in the first round! The Wild need to find a way to get this series back home. If it were not for the Blues’ goalie, I’d say Minnesota will find a way to take Game 4. I’m not sure I’m ready to say the Wild have no chance, but they need some help. That help needs to be a lack of support for Allen by his own team, and perhaps a lucky bounce or two.
Timotheus Picks – 0 points of possible 6 (0%)
2 points for regulation win for predicted series victor; 1 for overtime win…
West – Pacific Bracket

Game 6 Sunday 23 April at Calgary [If Necessary]
Game 7 Tuesday 25 April at Anaheim [If Necessary]
Prior to the Series, I picked Anaheim in 6…
Anaheim appears to be dominating this series. Now that this series goes to Alberta, we will see if this is the case. Calgary needs to stop taking penalties!
Timotheus Picks – 4 points of possible 4 (100%)
2 points for regulation win for predicted series victor; 1 for overtime win…
Edmonton Oilers -vs- San Jose Sharks
Game 1 Wednesday 12 April at Edmonton Sharks 3, Oilers 2 [OT]

This series is really getting good. Edmonton is impressive! No matter how this series ends, it seems Edmonton has won a ton of respect league-wide.
